Misinformed information
I was reassured my $400.00 2 pairs glasses would be covered by my insurance . Unfortunately i was denied and after calling store the representative told me she never said that.
I was ignored and given no help.
I will never purchase from your store again. d

Still waiting for my glasses a month and a half later
The folks at JC Penney Optical at the Tucson Mall were very polite, helpful and professional. Unfortunately, the lab that they use was none of these things.
I ordered two very basic prescriptions with two different frames. Apparently this is way beyond their capability. Weeks went by, one pair came in but was broken. Two pair arrived eventually with identical frames.
The very nice optician/clerk told me to keep both, and would put a rush on the correct frames.
Almost two weeks (rush?) and still no glasses. Of course they have my money, so where is the incentive?

I dont normally write reviews but I had such a good experience there I just had to say something. Unfortunately, I didnt get the womens name but she was the kindest most helpful employee ever!
I went to the east brunswick store in the mall.
It was June 25th 2022. I had snapped my prescription sunglasses in half. I asked if they could be repaired which I already knew was not likely and I was going on vacation in one week. Unfortunately even if I bought a new pair they would not arrive on time.
The sales women says well let me see if I could find a frame that will fit my lenses. I didnt even know that was a thing. She happened to find a pair that was close to my lenses and proceeded to heat them up to make them fit! She worked on them for quite some time very patiently until she got them perfect.
The whole time having pleasant conversation with me. I was glad to pay the reasonable price for the frames, considering I was planing to buy a whole new pair at any cost just to have them for my trip.
You just dont find sales people like this very often anymore.
I am so grateful that she was the person working that day. She definitely deserves a raise!

Ordered 4/22 still no glasses 7/21
Order was lost reordered not correct measurements kept trying to return glasses was put off till umreturnable. Reordered again still ne glasses. Paid cash for these and I've had better service and product from my medicaid.

Love JCPenney optical! Mellissa specifically! She has been a great help to me when picking out glasses. I will forever go there to get my glasses. But mainly because Mellissa is there to help me.
JCPenney has an outstanding employee Mellissa who works on Optical. She has given me wonderful service time and time again. I highly recommend anyone to go there.

I went in the 5856 E Sam Houston Pkwy Houston TX location I stayed in their for nearly 2 hours just to change the plastic inside my glasses Ailene {{Redacted}}. Hands was very shakey her nails was too long to pick up the little screw she finally got one in but the other on she added a loner screw because she ended up striping the hole and not putting the other plastic on the other side leaving me not being able to were my glasses I was bless u walk their because I have a restriction I have to have glasses in order to drive . I stop goin to that store because the people that works in their never accommodate me so I started going to the Meyeland location so I call that location to help assist her I work on mon and I need my glasses and I'm still without them today because Ailene {{Redacted}} cannot perform her job!!!

Won’t give me my PD after paying for my exam.
i paid for my Eye exam and was told they cannot give me my PD that its against company policy so I cant order glasses from anywhere but them .

My husband ordered glasses and apparently the order came in, but they never called him to pick them up like they state they will. Then I ordered (about 6 months after) and the same thing happened to me. It appears they don't care about how that appears in terms of customer service

They only sell you a one year warranty but still you have to pay,
Their offers are not cheap every time I get my glasses I pay $500 for 2 pairs, I brougth a pair of sun glasses that I had forgot in someones house and got them back as they were , but now I need to change the prescription and they said it cant be done , frame and glasses are still new,

Advice
Advice - don't accept an 11:00 AM appointment here on Tuesdays as they don't open the doors until 11:00 AM. The doctor is great when you get to see him but scheduling never goes smoothly.
Late arrival of glasses
Ordered glasses from JCPenney optical. Took 6 weeks to get them.
I was told 7-10 days. Went in to JCPenney optical and they had arrived. I was pleased with the product.
I was going in to cancel the order. I was pleasantly surprised, when they had arrived!

Issue w my original set of glasses made, had order redone and which was lost and order having to be resubmitted. Also have an additional pair that still needs to be adjusted.

I just got my glasses back and Im not happy with them this has been going on since nov . I bought 2 pairs of glasses the other pair is getting fixed I think I just want my money back and go somewhere else

I would not recommend this company at all..We've had nothing but issues with them, we went for my glasses and waited over the 10 days for one pair..(one pair came early) the 2 pair we waited for came in without the progressive part needed to read so they had to go back and we waited 3 weeks (this was October)my other pair had to go in for the antiglare. I added it on after..jcpenny had to prove I paid then they canceled my whole order and had to redo them which took more time.
In the meantime thinking it was just a rough time...we went for another 2 pair (the beginning of Nov and still waiting my other pair) almost 4 weeks later, jcpenny said they were ready for pick-up, we get there and the whole script was wrong on both of his pair they ++ the glasses instead of --.. this was the Tues after Thanksgiving November (2021) that they went back to them to be fixed, I called 2 weeks later and they said my other pair (finally) and one of his, were ready, I go to pick them up and they sent his with only one lense..yes one lense, I have a photo..so they put a lens from at the location in it until the ones come in with 2 lenses .and that his other ones will be in "soon " we didn't get these glasses until January 11, 2022

Awful Service
Brief eye exam resulted in wrong prescription at Meadows Mall, Las Vegas. I was told I had 30 days to return if unhappy with glasses.
I decided metal glasses were too heavy and I couldn't read with them. Returned within 30 days, after excellent service at Vision Works. Was told, no you had 24 hours to return, now only entitled to replacement. 24 hours!!
After being told I had 30 days, went ahead and bought from Vision Works, now I'm out almost $500. When asked about their policy on the receipt, was told I received it in an e-mail. WHY would I purchase elsewhere if I thought I could not return and get a refund under any circumstances? Vision Works has a 100-day policy, with their Love What You See Guarantee.
After 30 years of JCP credit card, I'll be canceling that. I think they are collapsing overall anyway, so sad. I see why. Don't ever fall for the 60% off coupon like I did....
never again. I'm sick over this.....

The retail value of a 2 pair package varies, you paid 400 which means the retail value is actually anywhere from 600 to 800 dollars.
